I haven't used them yet, but I tried them on and the fit is great. I'm 49 yrs old and still hitting the steeps and park at Bridger Bowl, MT. Im a 38 waist in jeans and I ordered XXL. They stretch nicely without squeezing you uncomfortably.

Bought for snowboarding/falling comfort and got happy replies. Much better than expected, especially with the icy conditions on the mountain. Price and shipping were on point and appreciated.

This is an odd review to write because I'm unsure of how to score this. I have a 34" waist, and based on their chart I should be an XXL. However I decided that was insane and some kind of misprint because I'm a large in EVERYTHING ELSE clothes wise (6'2" 185). So, I ordered the large anyways and figured I'd see how they fit when they arrived and thought they'd stretch. However, they sent an XXL instead of the Large . . . BUT - they seem to fit just fine. So they didn't send what I ordered, but somehow they knew and sent what I should have ordered. I feel like I should take a star off for that just for being confusing, so I am.In terms of build quality these are actually pretty good. I have another pair of these from a different manufacturer (Soared 3D) and these ones are nearly identical in style. The Soared pair is also XXL, but is way too big for me so go figure? In terms of cushioning, the Soared pair has pads that measure 2.1mm thick while these pads are much flatter and measure only 1.6mm thick. I actually prefer the thinner pads because I don't fall much (use these snowboarding) and don't need something terribly bulky.I do want to note that the Soared set has slightly longer horizontal pads above the hip pads than these ones do, and the Soared one also has an extra horizontal pad right above the tailbone pad on your lower spine. Even with those extra pads, the Soared pair of these is a buck cheaper and is less confusing size wise so I would probably purchase those again instead of these were I to need another set.

Fits well under my snowbibs. Excellent protection to the coccyx on crusty hard snow slams. If you've ever broken your coccyx and have to a be super baby about blows to your delicate coccyx, these pants are a MUST.

I ordered this for my teenage son who just started snowboarding and was falling a lot and needed some extra padding. Works great and gives him extra confidence knowing he won’t be all bruised if he falls often.

The padding is what I was looking for - Lighter weight, and less restrictive.I’d recommend these for people who aren’t completely new to their sport and take continuous heavy impact (i.e learning snowboarding) but may still expect to fall here and there.I dislike the lack of lower back/upper tailbone support. In order to cover this area with the shorts, they must be pulled uncomfortably high with is not accommodating for male private parts.Sizing chart seems clear. I’m 160lbs, 31†waist. Size XL fits me great although I usually wear M shorts.
