I am using this to monitor my vintage kegerator temp. Probe was thin and easy to slip into rear of kegerator. Screen is large and easy to read. Would be easy to surface mount with some double sided tape.

Unit seems to work well. However, it seems to only work in Celsius. Can't figure out how to change it to Fahrenheit. That's not a real problem for me.Service was very good. In fact, arrived a day earlier than projected.

I initially bought the temperature probe because we recently had a breaker go out on our freezer and ended up losing couple hundred dollars in meat. It works great but the instructions on how to set the alarm. Temperatures are very confusing. If you can’t understand stereo instructions, and or set the clock on your microwave, then I would not recommend getting this product.

Only had a couple months to monitor a freezer that got left open and lost everything. My advice set the minimum on a freezer like 15 below and the max around 35-36 that way alarm won’t go off for being to cold like mine did at first

Purchased two of these alarm thermometers.Got this mainly for the gas water heater because the pilot goes out occasionally, usually during windy days, and the wife does not like cold showers. On the water heater I tied the outdoor sensor to the side of the brass pressure relief valve, which has good thermal conductivity to the hot water tank, and set the max/min values to 140F/107F. During normal usage (long shower) the temperature only drops down to about 115F. If the pilot goes out the temperature drops below the minimum setting and the alarm sounds. Perfect!Put the second one in the garage fridge/freezer because the GFIC that its on gets tripped once in awhile, usually after working with power tools in the garage or yard. Sometimes that happens right when turning the tool off so I don’t notice.Thermometers are in the garage but the alarms are loud enough to be heard in the house at night when there are no other competing sounds. Units have magnets on the back for easy mounting and came with two batteries each. These units are a nice inexpensive solution to avoiding cold showers and melted ice cream.

My teen and I set these up and right away I knew they were being returned. The 2 never displayed the same temps sitting next to each other. The room was about 80 degrees and A said 85 and B said 83 ok not too far off from each other... I put them in 2 different freezers that have a simple temp gauge that says they are 0 degrees. 24 hours later my upright says is is -2.7 room temp 77.6 (this is close) but the chest freezer says room is 76.5 and inside the freezer is -15 (this is absurd) I had to turn the alarms off as they kept going off. The upright was -9.6 last night and I set the alarm for -9.4 since I could not get it to be -10 to 10. I will let them acclimate another day but I doubt I will be keeping them.
