I was never sure if my oven temperature and display are accurate. I place both of them in the oven at same time and both displayed accurate temperature as it’s same as my oven display . Very satisfied with purchase

. . . which is why I'm giving it a 5. See that little set screw in the back? Unless I miss my bet, that allows you to calibrate this thermometer (Go to YouTube to find out whether clockwise makes it read colder, or vice versa). So far seems accurate, reading zero in the freezer; if it acts up I'll know what to do. This was the only calibratable analog thermo I noticed. Maybe there's a way to calibrate the digital ones, which of course are easier to read, but I don't know it. Anybody got a clue?

I had to give it 4 stars for accuracy as the reason I bought it was to know what the temp in the fridge & freezer was at.. so I can't be 100% of its accuracy.. but it has to be darn close... and it does take a while for the temp to register so don't look for instant ~ having said all of this I will say it is a good little thermometer, easy to read and it sits well in the fridge and also the freezer.. I'm happy with it...
