This adapter works exactly as intended.Fit to purpose, I plugged this adapter to a video projector. Then I connected my Samsung Galaxy S24 using the cable that came with it to the adapter. I navigated the projector menu to HDMI and done. The projector began projecting my phone, simple and easy.TIP: Use a Thunderbolt cable. This will not work otherwise.

This is an excellent adapter to put in your travel bag with one of your good USB C cables. You can use it to connect to anything that can accept an HDMI input (TV, projector, mixing deck) to allow your laptop to push video and audio. To connect to USB C, you need a USB 3.1/USB 3.2/USB 4 Cable or a Thunderbolt 3/4 Cable, not all USB C cables are equal, you have to do a bit of research on what you have. What is the point of an adapter like this? Versatility. Your USB C 3.1 (and higher) cables and Thunderbolt cables can connect to many devices, this is another tool in the Swiss Army Knife when you need it.The connections are solid, the build quality is good, the aluminum housing feels like quality and it is screen printed with the most important bit, this pushes one way, USB C to HDMI.

When paired with a Thunderbolt 4 cable, the FBesteam FThinkup USB-C to HDMI Adapter is a much better form factor than using a HDMI cable. It's easier to get a Thunderbolt 4 cable in a shorter length and it's a smaller diameter than a standard HDMI cable so it takes up a lot less room on your desk and is easier to route and hide.Highly recommend.

I am using this on a 1440p monitor at 60hz.I did try this on a 4k 144hz monitor, and it only let me use 30hz, which was expected from the product information.I have this connected using a TB4 cable. I also use that TB4 cable for charging. Making this connector perfect for traveling.
