I rehabbed my single axle trailer and moved the spare tire from the tongue to the right side rail in front of the fender. By moving it I need a different style mount and this one looked good.Nice design and finish. I'm happy with it. Would buy again and recommend.EDIT: 09-07-2023. I have about 650 highway mile on it and it has held up well. I like the first one so well I purchased another for a second spare wheel/tire.

installation was straightforward even with my non-standard application. It would have been nice to know that the lug bolts supplied are metric and not SAE 1/2-20.

I purchased a different Spare Tire Holder first because it was $10 cheaper but the metal was much thinner and the pre-drilled slots for the bolts to mount the tire did not fit.This Tire Mounts bottom horizontal slits make fitting the spare tire so easy and as a bonus it uses three bolts to mount the spare rather than only two bolts used by many other brands.Highly recommended.

It broke off at 60mph on the highway! Someone could have been killed. Luckily all that happened was it fell under the axle of the trailer and launched my boat into the air and destroyed the rim of my spare. It looks stout, with that nice gusset, but that just hides the real weak point, the weld at the plate the spare bolts to. The trailer has never been near salt water or on salty winter roads, yet it is clearly corroded on the inside. Garbage!

Used this to hang the spare wheel on my rear van door. Had to pack out the unit by 20mm to clear tyre from the door, also added 5mm strips to the Inside of door to add strength, then purchased some wheel locking nuts and studs to add a bit of security. Works well so far and makes changing my tyre so much easier.

Fitted perfectly the spare tyre on the receiver (rear bumper) of my American 5th wheel. Except that that the coach bolts are 1/4" (6mm) too short and won't take the provided washer and lock washer. Also the lower two (of the 4 bolts) under hang the receiver and could really do with barrel spacers to prevent bending the assembly. Otherwise very happy,
