I bought a new watercraft and needed a spare tire mount. As soon as I saw one made out of stainless steel at a great price I purchased it. It came in the next day and I installed it five minutes after receiving it. The quality is top notch and it's absolutely beautiful. Definitely buy this one if you're in the market for one.

I missed my return date as I had to travel to my boat's location.After messing with the brackets, I could not get all the bolts through the widest 4 holes.Suggest that you do not purchase this product if you're installing on a side rail that is 6" or wider.

My trailer frame is 4.5" tall so many of the spare tire mounts won't fit on my trailer, so I ordered this one because it was large enough to fit and it was stainless. When the tire carrier arrived, the box was damaged and some of the bolts were missing. I did a magnet check and the mount is stainless. As others have said, the front and back faces were bent due the welding process. The front mounting plate to the tire rim is 3/16" thick. The two vertical plates that mount to the frame are only 1/8", which means when you tighten the included "non stainless" bolts to attach it to the frame, the plates bend as you tighten the bolts. So not very sturdy.... After one trip to the water, the tire is still on the trailer.

Shop around for better unit. Weld size smaller than parent material thickness. Mfg should get some engineering support to validate welds and weld process. Looks like laser welding.
