This seal took minutes for my son to install. It seals better than what came with the door years ago. No regrets yet in the purchase. Waiting to see how it does with ice, but optimistic.

This is a great seal. It's really thick and very high quality. It might be easier if you take it out of the package and let it flatten out before installing it. That might make it a bit easier.Know the shape of the grooves in your garage door. After struggling for a while, I noticed that the grooves I have are more rounded, so this is meant for a T shape. I used my rotary tool to shave off a bit of the rubber that fits inside the grooves. It still feels secure in the track and was much easier to install it. I would also suggest using grease or some lubricant to help you install it. After you get most of it in, it becomes harder to pull. I used some pliers to help me pull it. There is extra length that you can trim off if you damage it using this. The material is so durable that there wasn't any noticeable damage from the pliers for me.It would also be helpful if you have someone feed it while you pull it. I found that it falls out of the tracks easily which made me have to back it out a few times to realign it. Two people would make this an easier installation.

As other reviewers have stated, this door seal is thinner compared to other in the market, but I also agree that it is a positive thing. On first impressions it would seem a bit flimsy. But I have tried the other seals which are thicker and they have no give to them once installed, if there is some unevenness on the floor, or your door is not square, they won't seal good. This one being more flexible, it can conform better to the floor. The only down side of this seal, it has a fishy smell, since it is in the garage It is not a big deal, and hope the smell will go away with time.

Finally replaced the old hardened seal and this seems like it is made of durable material and should last many years. I had water and light coming through the old cracked seal and this has corrected both issues. Getting the old one off and this on took a bit of effort and is definitely easier with 2 people. Little advice would be to clean the track well after removing old one and spray a bit of silicone or lithium grease in the track prior to putting the new one on.

I got this as my old bottom seal began to deteriorate. This forms a better seal against the concrete, and I had the replacement installed fairly quickly and I had to cut a small amount of excess material, but otherwise this was a smooth and easy install and an improvement over what I had.I would recommend this to someone looking to replace their aging or ineffective garage door seals. For the price this seems a decent value.
