I didn't have the new disposal when I ordered this support. I should have gotten the taller model.Not a problem, as a wooden block makes up the difference, and I suppose spreads the load more evenly to the cabinet floor. Whether with a longer post, or the post on a block, that space under the disposal is restricted in any case.

this device works as advertise to quiet your garbage disposal. It consists of a telescoping pole which you can lengthen air shorten by scoring it in or out. It comes with the small wrench to make adjustments as well. The most difficult part is getting lined up because as you turn it the fee or the spring of the top want to walk. Therefore springs at the top which press against the bottom of your garbage disposal. This is what stabilizes and quiet it. My formally noisy garbage disposal is now stable and runs with a hum. Highly recommend!

I installed it and it didn’t seem to stay in place the bottom foot just slid around. I was hoping to use it so I would have more space underneath the sink, but I ended up using a different style.
