TIPS & TRICKS
- For best results, ensure that the ground is properly tilled and aerated. This will create an environment where your bulbs will thrive once planted.
- Using the Weasel® Bulb Planter ensures a uniform depth for all your bulb plantings. Each time you make a hole, a plug of soil will be captured in the planter. As you dig your next hole, this plug will be ejected from the tool. Use the plug to cover your newly planted bulb quickly and easily.
- Be sure to apply pressure on the footplate using force from your legs rather than engaging your back. The Weasel® Bulb Planter is ergonomically designed to reduce stress on joints and muscles, and make annual or seasonal planting an easier process.
- Remember that bulbs must be handled carefully and planted as directed. Place bulbs gently in the ground before covering with the dirt plug.

I really like this planter. I had 80 bulbs to plant and this was a great time saver. Also bending over planting can be hard on your back, this saved my back for sure. Creates the perfect sized hole with the perfect depth. If your planting multiple items in one area, make the first hole plant move to the second and you can easily use the material pushed out from the second hole to fill the first. It's a great time saver. Super sturdy and easily to handle.

I have used this to plant 100 daffodil bulbs so far (200 to go). I’m impressed by how well made it is. Heavy duty. It works well but I’m planting the bulbs in newly planted grass. For the most part, the tool is not going all the way into the ground just by stepping onto it due to straw and roots. But with some pressure and rotation, it gets through and I can bring up a plug in a minute or so. Definitely saves time.

Great for when you have lots of bulbs to plant!Easy to use in most soils unless lots of roots. I’m a 71 year old woman who recenhad a shoulder replacement and I can use this tool! Much easier and quicker than a handheld or shovel.

I'd never planted bulbs before. I bought more than a hundred to start a line of narcissus along my back boundary. I started planting a number of them before this tool arrived. This tool offered a much easier option for planting them. It was a lot easier than getting down on hands and knees and excavating a hole with a trowel or similar tool. I knew my soil was pretty "clean" and this tool just pulled full plugs up effortlessly. All the plugs were the full length of the tool - about 6", I think. I still had to do some hands and knees work, but far less than previously. I have other areas of my yard where there are a lot of roots just below the surface, because I'd just cleared them a year or two ago. Now that I have a feel for the tool, I'm hoping that it will be effective to use in those areas, too, at least where the roots are not that large. It may take a little longer, but I expect it will still save me time. I'm very glad I bought this.

I got this to plant our spring bulbs before it got too cold. Does work for what it's supposed to be used for. Seems sturdy and well made. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is that it was not great at getting as deep as I needed it but we have terribly compacted ground with a lot of rocks so I think not everyone would experience that as we did.

Wow! This was great to use, planted 60 bulbs in about an hour in not so great hard ground! You might have to dig the plug out if your dirt is compacted but it is so handy and the longer handle means your not kneeling on the ground. Highly recommend!

bulb planter works quite well if soil is moist. If soil dry, not so much. I watered dry soil a bit and was pleased with results.
