I heard rave reviews about this stuff from my other chicken coop friends. So I bought it here (nowhere local for me to purchase it). It settled a lot. I didn't have anything to stir it with but my boyfriend just replaced his old wiper blades. Perfect. I stirred and stirred and stirred, eventually it all evened out and looked marvelous. I got a paint brush and started applying. I used the wiper blade to kind of glop it out some and painted the sidewalls by the roost, the front just in case water comes in, the entire floor, crevices, and even coated the edges of some rogue hardware cloth that snuck by me. I lined the floor and all sides of the nesting boxes too, and the floor of my storage compartment. My coop is 4x3x4 and I used about 3/4 of the gallon doing close to two coats. I didn't two coat the entire thing, just the floor, one of the sides, and nesting boxes. I also coated all of the doors and inserts for my own piece of mind.I made a huge mess of myself, even got some in my hair--beware, that hurts, ha! I'm very happy with this, I have faith it will make the cleanout super easy and help it last for a very long time.

After thoroughly mixing the stuff, I applied it to the floor of my hen house's foundation. Within 24 hours, it hardened to a tough, waterproof sealing coat. I'm very pleased with the results.Mixed with a paint stirrer attached to my electric drill and applied it with a roofing brush, both which I bought here on Amazon. Very easy.

I used this to coat the inside bottom of my chicken coop - its great. Stir it well - at first I thought I had a bad batch - it was sooooo separated and the bottom was riduculously thick. But I kept at it and am glad I did. I found it easier to pour some out and spread it around with the brush than to "paint" it on. I covered the bottom of the coop and the first foot of wall all the way around, the bottom of the egg box and the poop board. I also really pushed it down into cracks/joints. Waterproofs, virtually elminates places in the wood for mites, etc to live, and makes the annual hosing-it-out easy. I use sand and hay so I am not worried about claws, beaks, etc but its really tough stuff. Glad I tried it.

I think the reason it comes separated is that at paint shops they spin the paint before you get it. My guess is that this is coming "unspun" so it's separated. I stood it upside down for about 8 hours then shook it a LOT...still needed mixing upon opening. But the coverage is great and one gallon was more than enough for my 48SF chicken coop floor. I poured then spread with window squeegee. It took about a day to dry, as the space was enclosed with limited ventilation at time of application.

2 gallons gave me a nice rubberized base for a 4 x 8 chicken coop floor. Sealed up the corners wonderfully and cleanup is so much easier now. Self-leveling, so I just dumped it in the middle and spread it around a little with a roller.

Im using this to seal a 2 bedroom 1 bath 1 kitchen 1 living room manufactured homes floor and part of the walls and certain areas where water splashes or pee or poo might go. Riping everything but the bords up and glueing this down and turning it into a barn with a working kitchen for a milk and processing parlour. Being able to go in with water is something im planing on. I want to be able to have it all sterile. Will see how many buckets i use atm i have two just for the chickens room. WIll be puting 2 goats in here for living room Doe's. a Kidding room for the bedroom. And are buck is going outside under a tarp somewhere. Just cant have that bucksmell ruining the whole place lol

This was the perfect thing to paint the top of our homemade chicken coop with. Can take lots of cleaning.
