This is a great little device. I think it came in around 25 dollars for me. I only have the remote sensor about 35 feet away from the base station - it works great at that distance and it was very easy to sync with the base. Set up was a breeze and this unit has a limited touch screen interface - limited strictly to the control buttons. It lacks a tide feature but I have often found the tide tables are off anyway with devices at the price point. Big plus here is it gives you the option to switch the temperature display between the temp, the heat index (your wet bulb) and the dew point, these features are a tough get at this price point. It does lack a barometer, which may be a deal breaker for some folks. This would probably mean its forecast function is based solely on temp and humidity. Anyway, this is a really great little device that won't break the bank. I highly recommend this one.

I like this weather station, it is worth the cost and works. It is a little tricky to program and instructions are printed small, but you can work it out. I only gave it 4 stars because of things I would like to see improved, but these are not deal stoppers. I'm hoping the manufacturer sees this. I wanted to hang it on the wall, but the DC power plug sticks out the back, this prevents it from lying flush on the wall. The plug should be relocated to a side or edge. Also, it could benefit from two screw slots instead of one... .will not hang straight. The clock: I wish the clock was a bit larger, I have old eyes, I can see the temps fine, the clock digits are too small. I'd rather see the time than the weather forecast which is not always correct (it is based on trends not any actual wx service). It can support 3 remotes and if you only have one it allows you to choose non existant ones, which seems to be only reset by pulling the power, then you have to repeat the set up. It is brite! I had to remove it from my bedroom!! It uses very little power, which is very good. Finally, I would suggest adding wwvb time transmissions and for remote temp transmitters it should auto sense. Good product, description is good, just needs a few improvements that may not be an issue for you. Not something you need two of, but I would buy again.

The display on the weather station is great. Large print so easy to see and read.Problem:: The outdoor temperature does not register accurately and the sensor eats batteries. We have replaced the batteries at least once a week since we set this up. We are using duracel batteries so they are not cheap. Very frustrated and dissatisfied.

Looks nice and works well. Temperature accuracy was verified with a calibrated temperature gun. The results were the GEEVON was within 0.1 accuracy. Very good. The light dimmer on top is a bit too sensitive. It's hard to handle the unit while setting it up without dimming the light but other than that, it's great. Once it's all set up, there is really no reason to be handling it unless it's being moved.

This weather station works as they intended. But, they have packed a large amount of features and displays in a device with only 5 touch screen buttons across the bottom.The instructions to set up and use it are somewhat difficult to follow. But, they will get you through it. And, it is obvious that the person who wrote them does not speak English as a first language. But, if you don't have the fold out paper instructions, most people would have a very difficult time changing any settings or displays. Most people won't still have that piece of fold out rice paper the next time they change the batteries or want to change a setting.When the back light is on, the screen is colorful and easily readable from a straight on angle. If you look at from a skewed angle, it is somewhat difficult to read.When the back light is off, the screen is very difficult to read.Also, because there is so much information on the screen, it takes a few seconds for your eyes to gather the information you want.There is a button on the top for the back light. The back light goes off after only a few seconds. This is rather annoying.I think most of these issues are just part of making a small inexpensive device like this and will be present with most other brands or models.For me, one with less features and options, but still has the basic information is probably better.

Let me start with my questions. The biggest question I have is how to set the day of the week. There is no mention of this in the instructions. Other questions include: how to set moon phase, and how to start the forecast.The Amazon write up should have mentioned that it can be powered using a USB connection as well as AAA batteries. That was one thing that helped make my purchase decision - no batteries to buy. However, the USB connection does not charge a battery as many other devices do, so you have to have a spare port to connect it.It is a bit bright, but I don't find that offensive. The size of the screen is perfect for where I have it positioned, so on the whole, I find the device just what I was looking for plus an few extra features.

Had a Bios brand one for many years unfortunately the outside sensor stopped working. Had a look at the offerings and took a chance on this one. It does everything it says it will and does it well. The screen is easy to read from across the room, nice that it comes with a USB plug and accuracy is pretty good given the price, less than 2 degrees variation
