First things first, I gave it one star for touch screen and battery life because 1. There is no touch screen and 2. There is no battery as this gets power direct from the motorcycle battery. Okay, that out of the way, this works exactly like the original; my original stopped working on one side (this is after 11 years of use) and so I had to choose between warming my core or warming my hands. It was a lose/lose situation. So I purchase this so I would no longer have to make that choice. I rode in to work this morning warm as can be! Time will tell if this will last as long as the original that came with my gear. If you need a new controller, this is the one!

I bought the dual controller to replace a different brand that I lost. It worked very well with Gerbing vest and gloves, but failed in a couple months. When I contacted Gerbing they immediately sent me a replacement. So far the new one works flawlessly.

Works great for having dual heat zones for riding gear. I put jacket liner and gloves on one circuit and my pants and socks on another. Top half and body half don't always need the same amount of heat so a dual controller works great. The adjustment knobs in 3 pics show to be larger than the ones in the 4th pic. The 4th pic is accurate. I have a single zone controller with the larger knob and it is very easy to adjust. The dual zone knobs are very small and not as easy to adjust when you've got the gloves on.
