Great price for GFCI outlet. Much cheaper than at Lowe’s or Home Depot. Works great, had everything needed to install.

I needed to add an outlet to an existing light switch we had in our utility closet. This closet contains our water lines and water heater, so by code, any outlet added to this room needed to be GFCI. These outlets can cost upwards of $40 when purchased in stores.Now to the product itself. It was extremely inexpensive; I purchased it for $13 upon writing this review. This wiring device had more heft to it than I was expecting, which left a good impression in terms of quality and safety. I installed it with power going to the "line" side (obviously) and I also decided to hook up the lighting side to the "load" terminals, which protects the lighting circuit with GFCI as well. While this is completely unneeded unless a jet of water decided to randomly go after my lights, the inspector was happy.I always do the most, especially regarding electrical safety. Not only did I test this with a pretty standard GFCI tester that anyone can pick up from a hardware store, but I also rigged it up with a potentiometer in reference to ground. The tester showed a trip speed of under 1 millisecond and it tripped before 4 milliamps of current were being passed across the potentiometer. These are extremely good results! This outlet was cheap, feels good quality, and passes the safety test. Solid!

The switch is simply made, and I had to push it back into place before using it. The connection screws at the back can be a real pain, if you loosen them too much, making it difficult to clamp the wire properly. The instructions on the included paper aren’t clear, but a YouTube video helped me understand how to connect it with different options.

Basura/Trash. I purchased the 20Amp GFCI unit and it lasted 10 months before making a popping sound every 30 seconds. Property was vacant so it just randomly failed. I also installed a big brand unit that starts with L at the same time in a different room and it's been perfect.

Seems fine but be careful because if u are replacing non-gfci outlets with these then u will need to install bigger plastic boxes as well

El contanto es de buena calidad, sin embargo el manual de conexión es algo difÃcil de comprender, pero una vez instalado cumple excelentemente su función. Solo duro en funcionamiento 2 meses, sin que este algo conectado se bota el CGFI.
