I decided to try the silk and steel instead of the phosphor bronze because I thought they might give a warmer tone and I was right. Also as an added benefit the tension needed for these strings is just a bit less and that gives a little relief on finger pressure.

I like the feel of these strings. Lights on a Mandolin are nice, but I prefer regulars. I just started the Mandolin. I use this brand on my guitar. GHS are just good strings.

I've been using LS250 Silk and Steel stings for we'll over 20 years I love the playability of them, the beautiful woody tone they produce best strings on the market for me

I'm not entirely happy with the tone of these, but they are good and stay in tune well. Windings seem to be a little bit coarse. Probably go back to phosphor bronze next time.

These strings are easy on the fingers. Sound great with a deep resonating tone. They hold tuning well once they settle in. I have recommended these to several people.

After using phosphor bronze strings for years I switched - better tone, less string tension ( so easier playability), and less string squeak.

Think got a one faulty G string it unwound after I tuned it up .Over all good strings a little less bright in sound but I like that nice on the fingers.I had to use a diff G string because one broke but play traditional tunes not chords so don’t use that string much. They are nice softer on fingers.
