This is a great bass pad! It's got a nice sound to it, typically when you use a plastic beater on your pedal(s). I haven't really found that much of a difference between the normal sound without the pad, as opposed to with the pad and a felt beater. My first impressions of this pad were that it really sounded like 'a knock on wood', or plastic for that matter, and that it wasn't exactly the desired sound I had been looking for. After about 2 to 3 minutes of use i was hooked! Right now, I'm under the impression right now that it needs to be "broken in" before the natural sounds start to come out. This seems to be the same with most drums and cymbals. Now, I've had it for less than a day, and I am already completely satisfied with what I had bought. This is the cheaper way to make your bass drums sound like they are triggered. This pad seems to completely mimic the effects of what a real trigger would do and sound like. It makes the drum itself seem louder, so you can stuff your bass drum and still be able to hear it well, and it gives it the notorious "clicking" sound which is great. I RECOMMEND THIS. This pad will also keep your drum head in tact, if you're like me and you like using the plastic side of your bass pedal beaters. This pad is great for all players, I myself am a progressive player, and I couldn't be more happy. Aside from the adhesive in the middle not staying stuck on, I have no complaints, just make sure you understand what your getting.It Works great, especially close miked like my bass drum. The only thing it doesn't say in the description is just how much it will take away from the bottom end of the drum. I play a 22" with a small pillow inside, and usually I have nice low end, but this pad will turn your low end into more attack, adding huge amounts of power to the beater sound.Long story short, it'll turn your kick into a metal machine, but short of that, I dont know what else you'd use it to play.

This adds a very nice attack to my kick and feels much more durable than I was expecting. I can easily say that it will extend the life of my bass drum head at least by tenfold. It delivers a great click and makes the kick sounds nice and punchy, while still being able to have dynamics that triggers can't replicate.I did realize that on the right side some air got trapped inside during manufacturing where the beater was hitting. This made the right side not deliver the same click attack as the left side. However it's nothing that couldn't easily be fixed. I took a small pin and poked a hole in the membrane and squeezed the air out.. That fixed everything.All in all its a great product, and I would definitely purchase this again when I buy new heads for my kick.

Good for metal, you’ll need some glue.I cut out the hard plastic part and use it as a regular pad. traded my double bass pedal for a neat hat.

If you play music that requires your kick drum to cut through a dense mix.Or if you just want to hear your kick better so you don't over play.This is what you need. It works well for rock and some metal.It creates a nice moderate click.I'm not sure why this is advertised as having metal inside. The inside is plastic. If you want the metal one get the Danmar metal click pad. I have tried several and none of them stay on long. Grab some Gorilla tape for that issue.

I peel the tape off stuck it to kick and it fell right off. Had blue painters, tape nearby stuck around the edges. The pad actually sounds really good.

Of course, I am a drummer, and have had many types of pads, and dampers, etc. but some of these prices are outrageous. I use this on both my drums, and with a Mic system, makes it sound like something you would find on Joey Jordison, and the Rev's set. So if you are looking for protection, with and awesome sound, put it in your cart, you have nothing to lose!

Works perfectly for what i was hoping. Gives the bass drum the punch sound on the soft beater, and a click sound when beater is turned around on the solid side.

Troep. Blijft niet zitten. Plakt niet vast op het drumvel. Bij de eerste klap ligt die op de grond. Onbruikbaar. Ben betere kwaliteit van Gibraltar gewend. Dit is bedroevend .

Si te gusta que tus golpes se distingan de manera clara aunque los toques rapidamente este es el producto adecuado. Poniendo un baquetón de madera o plástico hará q tu set suene como a Pantera o Fear Factory.
