After almost a year and 1000+ steel rivnuts from different sellers, in 10-24 size, I gave up and bought these, and I have zero issues.The steel riv nuts had manufacturing issues, the threads wouldn't go in right to begin with, they would get stuck at 80% going in, and those who were ok that far, would slip on compression. Leading to a 20-30% keeper rate or barely-ok bonds.These stainless ones work great, how all riv nuts show work, work easily and every time.I went through 3000 riv nuts in the last 2 years and only recently switched to these stainless ones after too much frustration with steel ones.

I’m using these to replace self tapping screws on some very expensive stainless steel railing. I think this is a far superior solution.

These work with my installation tool sold by Harbor Freight. The HF tool includes a few plated steel, (not SS) inserts and they do not offer the inserts in store.
