This range is made for entry-level lenses but is not recommended for use with lenses longer than 100mm. For best results with telephoto lenses, we suggest our 3Peak range.

You can keep our UV filters on your lenses at all times for total protection. We recommend you loosen them now and then to avoid them over tightening or becoming stuck.

I bought a slim profile Gobe 55mm coated UV filter with threads on both sides, for a Sony camcorder, and it works like a champ. Here's the way I use it -- the filter screws into the front of my Handycam to protect the Balanced Optical Steady Shot lens. Then I attached a 55-77mm metal step-up ring that I bought on Amazon, and attached a plastic 77mm tulip lens hood from JennyShop. By using such a large diameter lens hood, with a slim profile filter, I am able to keep the hood out of the frame at wide angle. With a standard (thicker) 55mm filter, it pushed the step-up ring forward just enough to get in the view at wide angle. So if this is a problem for your camcorder, a slim filter might help. Just sayin'... And the Gobe filter does show evidence of coating (the green reflection) and has functioned well for me.

Purchased the Gobe 95mm UV lens filter for my Tamron 600mm len. The len is good quality. I purchased a Gobe 82mm before and I pretty satisfied with it. The price of Gobe len filter is pretty resonable.

So first the good news, so far the picture quality is quite good attached to my Sigma 150-600 Contemporary.Comes in a metal tin, and includes a cleaning cloth.The bad news, locked up on my lens, TWICE!I was able to apply some thread cleaner (something I routinely use on aluminum flashlights) and now it goes on and comes off very easily.We shall see how it performs over time in various weather conditions.

This filter is extremely well-made and distinctly better than other filters in its category that I have used. While the price seemed initially full, given the great quality of the filter it now seems perfectly reasonable. I would buy the filter again and again.

This is a great-quality filter, especially for the price. The listing is confusing, though. At various places in the title, descriptions, and photos, it's described as both a 1Peak/12-layer and 2Peak/16-layer. The filter I received is actually the 1Peak/12-layer, which I think is correct for the listing and price. I assume it's the same as the Urth-branded version, but at a slightly cheaper price due to branding under the old Gobe name.

Me ha gustado mucho. El filtro tiene buen aspecto, contorno metalico y rosca perfecta, no he notado pérdida de calidad. La presentación estupenda, viene en su cajita circular metálica perfectamente acolchado y a su vez en una cajita de cartón. Como complemento, trae una gamuza de buena calidad. Por el precio, completamente recomendable.
