So I was looking for a fun flash to pair with my GW690 that wouldn't look totally out of place on a film camera, and I'm extremely impressed. Not only does it work well as a second hand grip, but the auto flash mode does a decent enough job with direct and small room bounce that it's within a stop (so far) of the manually metered output, which can save a ton of time at parties. I was never one to trust a flash guide number table and tend to just meter, so I'm pretty happy with the auto mode.The optical slave mode is also pretty handy for off-camera use with a Polaroid for filling background and the like. I haven't tried it in TTL mode with the xpro on my digital camera, but I tend to manually setup flashes regardless. Overall, I'm extremely impressed for the price. It improves the handling of rangefiners, auto mode works well, and it's got something of a timeless aesthetic that doesn't look like an ugly plastic speedlight.

I love this light. Itâ€™s so cool andworks great but I got caught up in the nostalgia of my film camera days and realized it didnâ€™t fit in my shooting style. Please hear me this is a great system and works great but not for me so I returned it.
