I spend time in two countries and this is so cheap I own 2 so I don't need to pack it. I do not get the pros who relying on batteries. I just shot an 18 minute video and I eh, no battery worries. Heck the cord does not interfere with my teleprompter rails Life is all good.

Does what it says. Must have if you wanna record for long periods of time! Just make sure your memory card doesn't run out of space. I got this for a Sony zv1 1 and I would suggest getting the dummy battery attachment that allows for different tripod mounting positions. If you don't, you can't use the dummy battery on a tripod because the battery door gets in the way. Just search dummy battery tripod attachment. Works perfectly!

Everything is great. I can finally use my camera as a webcam without changing batteries every couple hours. However I didn’t realize the battery compartment wouldn’t close. Not this product’s fault (unless they could design a flat flexible study cable which seems unlikely) but I wish I knew ahead of time. Having the battery compartment open all day doesn’t impact performance. I have considered carving out the plastic (my Nikon has a little notch for a cable) but there’s really no “need†to mutilate the Sony camera body for the sake of … wish the battery door would close.

If you plan to use your Sony ZV-1 for video, you need to buy this. With the standard battery in the camera, it overheats and shuts down the camera after about 10-12 minutes. This is well known.Using the dummy battery and the AC adapter, this avoids this issue 100%. I record videos that run from 15-30 minutes long, and I haven't yet had any problem with the camera overheating.I highly recommend this if you plan to do video work with your Sony ZV-1.The only downside is that the battery door won't close. It's because Sony never considered that anyone would want to use an external power source with a dummy battery.

I was looking for solution to the battery issue i was having with my Sony ZV-1F the battery lasted about 1hr during my streams, I have two ZV-1Fs i popped one in each of my cameras and they work like a charm.I can stream for as long as i want now. There is no camera like the ZV-1F for the price on the market so this was the best solution.

Ordered this so I could stream for longer than the battery charge would last on my Sony ZV-1, and it works perfectly. I tested it first and let it go for a few hours before actually trying it out, and I've used it plenty of times since with no issues at all. I did have to buy a camera base mount bracket for the ZV-1 to go with it since the battery compartment door just hangs open while using this, but I knew that in advance.

The order page says NP BX1 and once I used it on my camera it’s not compatible. My internal camera says NPbx1 battery, this product description says it Supprt this type but does not match needed better type.
