What a cute way to help your garden and keep your kitchen clean and smelling good! Ordered this for holding our kitchen compost in our modern farmhouse. Let me tell you, it is TOO CUTE! I've received comments on it and it looks great even left out on the counter (and I don't like clutter or things out all over my counter). No, it's not super huge, but I think that's a good thing--it takes up less space on the counter AND it encourages more frequent trips to the compost to get that breakdown happening. Highly recommend! Really nice quality, comes with extra smell filters and you get a sweet little card from the owners of this family-owned business. Now who wouldn't want to support that?! Love it!

I have used many types of compost bins in the kitchen. This one is attractive and cleans easily. It contains food odors and comes with extra filters. I found it sucha good product I bought one for my daughter in law and one for my brother!

My family built a compost bin in the backyard a few weeks ago, but collecting compost in a bowl on the counter just wasn't cutting it (gag). I absolutely LOVE this compost bin. It looks so attractive sitting on my countertop and matches the rest of my kitchen decor. It is very efficient and easy for the whole family to use. Prior to this I was just using an old coffee can that I kept in my fridge. While that worked, it took up refrigerator space and was a pain to access. Being able to set this on my countertop without it being an eyesore is so much more efficient. I have not noticed any smell, but I do empty it almost everyday as we eat a lot of fruits, veggies, and eggs in our house.

I’ve had this compost bin for over 2 years now and have put it through heavy use. The size is perfect. Any larger and it would start to stink before I need to take it out. The design is nice and the lid fits perfectly. There are 2 issues that I have with it: 1. The inside rusted because the paint chipped really easily. The bucket seems fine though. Would just like a better paint coating. 2. Use a coffee filter under the carbon filter to keep bugs out. While the carbon filter does a good job of keeping the odors at bay, I found bugs breeding in the carbon filter. Not pleasant. This is an easy and cheap fix. In the end, I still recommend this bin and may even buy another.

Not the prettiest thing, but it holds a nice amount of organic material. It's small enough for the sink but can hold the trimmings from 3 or 4 meals. If we have a large quantity we take it directly to the outside can. I wouldn't want a larger bucket on my sink. I do periodically contemplate painting it colorfully so it looks prettier, or solid white to make it less visible. But it works very well. It is sturdy and the handle holds well.

This countertop compost bin is perfect. There is ZERO odor and no fruit flies on or near the bin. We put all organic material in here with the exception of fat. Bones, Veggie scraps, things left on dinner plates, stuff left in fridge too long.... It is solid metal and washes out easily, but I use a liner bag in it. Just a preference. I would buy another without hesitation.

I actually purchased this for our bedrooms - got three. Our township allows composting of facial tissue but I didn't want to have an ugly recycling separator in our bedrooms. This solved the problem beautifully. Non-compostables go in the regular garbage and compostables go into this stylish bin!
