Ah, winter – the season of snow angels, hot cocoa, and shoveling... until now! Enter the Greenworks 80V Cordless Snow Blower, the James Bond of snow removal tools – sleek, powerful, and here to save the day!Assembling this snow-demolishing beast was easier than building a snowman (and way less frosty). Click, snap, and voila! I was armed with what seemed like a futuristic snow bazooka, ready to battle the icy invaders.First things first, power – and boy, does this blower pack a punch! With the 80V battery, it's like unleashing the fury of a yeti (minus the whole menacing growl thing). I revved it up, and the snow vanished quicker than my holiday cookies on Christmas morning. The 20-inch clearing path is like a snow bulldozer, plowing through the white fluff like a champ. I felt like the captain of a snow-removal spaceship, navigating through the frozen galaxy of my driveway. But wait, there's more! The adjustable chute is like a snow-aiming wizard's wand. It rotates effortlessly, sending snow flying like a winter storm in reverse. Sidewalks, driveway, neighbor's yard (oops, sorry, Steve!), no snowy surface is safe from its wrath! Now, let's talk about the brushless motor. Not only is it powerful, but it's also quieter than a snowflake landing on a marshmallow. I could almost hear the snow whispering, "Is that all you've got?"However, every hero has its kryptonite. This blower, while a snow-slaying superhero, might struggle with overly wet and heavy snow, akin to trying to lift a polar bear. It's a minor setback amidst its overall snow-blasting prowess.Maneuverability? Slicker than an ice-skating penguin! The ergonomic handle and effortless push made me feel like a winter sports pro. Plus, it's cordless, so no tangled cords interrupting the snowy showdown! In conclusion, the Greenworks 80V Cordless Snow Blower is a game-changer in the snowy battlefield. It's a snow-blasting extravaganza that turns shoveling into a joyful winter adventure. So, grab this blower, embrace your inner snow superhero, and conquer that winter wonderland like a boss!

I was very skeptical when ordering this, but I figured I could return it in the worst case. I decided since I've been hiring out my snow removal for the last four years that it was time to sell my trusting gas powered 2 stage snowblower, the rusty but trusty machine that will never die, I ended up getting it sold within a day, spent the next two weeks on Marketplace, searching every big box store, trying to decide which electric snowblower to buy. The main reason for purchasing was to create more room in my garage since I only use a snowblower for cleaning up the sidewalk, garage apron, and big snow mound after the plow comes by, I ended up buying Greenworks because I already have a backpack blower with the 80v battery. I've had 3 chances so far to use it and so far so good, I was very surprised at how well it works, I've done the entire driveway twice already (snow plow guy only comes for 3" or more) and did not think I would get it done before the battery was dead and it did with 2 bars left on the battery. I have a long driveway and parking area, over 3000sqft to plow. No more gas, no oil, it's perfect, and best part it gets right down to the blacktop. Love it.

I bought this in November 2018 in preparation for the upcoming snow season, based off of lots of high reviews. The product was received in good condition. Packaging was sufficient for transit. I removed it from the box, assembled (easy), and powered it up to ensure operation (some reviews had indicated no power condition upon assembly). And then we sat for almost 2 months before the first snowfall. Well, that snowfall arrived, about 3" worth. It was then that I found out how awful this machine was. The scraper's leading edge was designed to scrape snow from something as smooth as glass or polished concrete like you would find on your garage floor. It was not designed for use on the type of texture you find on just about every driveway in the United States, nor sidewalks. That scraper gets hung on every piece of texture. Move an inch, stop, move a quarter inch, stop, move 1/2" stop. You get the idea. And like others have reported, I lifted ever so slightly to pick the edge up off the texture. This makes the machine work great, except that now your driveway has to be shoveled after blown due to the strip of 1/4"-3/4" thick snow left behind. Due to the delay in use, I was now outside my window to return. Lost time, lost money, lost my patience, and it went in the dumpster. AVOID unless you are blowing snow off a plate glass window, mirror, or other such surface. POOR design. The only positive I can say is that when it did accidentally do it's job, it did throw the snow quite a distance, so that part was good. The electric motor appeared to be sufficient for it's intended purpose, but I'll never know because, well, I hurled that piece of garbage into the dumpster. Lesson learned.

hard to push once the snow accumulates on the plastic wheels till they don't roll anymore. just kick them off, again and again. not good for wet snow.

I actually ordered this in the middle of a snowstorm when we received about 18 inches of snow and I was exhausted from shoveling. The unit arrived earlier than indicated. It was fairly straightforward to assemble. The instructions could have been a bit better in a couple of places but there was not too much to do.The unit has performed well and has saved me a lot of shoveling. I do not use it for the entire driveway (we are rural and our driveway is long) but instead for some walkways, edges, and our rear deck. It works fantastic in light snow up to 10 inches. Above that it will struggle, and you might need two passes. The unit is advertised to work in snow up to 10 inches. You do not want to use this for heavy compressed snow, as it will struggle. As all moving parts are plastic, and you have to treat this for what it is – a light-duty assistant. I do wonder if the unit will hold up over time, but so far so good.It is easy to clean off, and I store it on a boot tray, so the melting snow can collect there and not make a mess.Battery usage is pretty good. The smaller 2aH battery will suffice in most cases – I think I can get 25-30m out of that maximally – only once did I run the battery down completely. I have also used a 4aH battery and the larger 5aH battery with it as well.Ergonomically, I am tall and the unit is a bit short for my liking, but acceptable. There is a sturdy well-placed handle on the body of the unit so that you can pick it up and haul it around (up and down stairs, etc.). I have to slug the unit up an awkward staircase to get to my composite deck. But it is worth it as it saves me so much time blowing the deck rather than shoveling and heaving snow over the railings. If you are a small frail person, picking the unit up by the handle might be a bit much. The crank for aiming the blower direction works ok. The handle for adjusting the height angle that the snow is blown at also works ok, although I once accidentally knocked it off and had to locate the spring in the snow to put it together again. There are LED lights that worked fine for me when blowing snow at night.I do find that the button you have to press to start the machine is placed in an awkward spot, and my arthritic hand actually gets kind of sore pushing that button repeatedly. Maybe that’s just me.In summary, use it for its intended purpose and within its capabilities and it will perform well and save your back and save you time. Questions remain over long-term durability.
