The heating element was heating unevenly, then died. Faced with buying a new grill and rack ($400+), we found THIS!! I am not mechanically inclined. When this arrived, we were grill starved several days so, despite a migraine, I installed without a hitch. Things I learned; Obviously, unplug the grill while installing. Go slow, be patient. Lift the grill part off and then pull the left edge of the coal pan out slightly and rest on the grill lip - the element slides in with ease then. Press the power dial in toward the heating element to pull the heating element together all the way. Do not do any pressing on the heat element itself, you risk breaking the coils and rendering it inoperable. Press only on the screw plate end on the right where it meets the control dial prongs. If you plug in the grill and turn it on, but the dial light is not on and the heating element does not heat, check your GFCI button on the electrical wall outlet you are using and/or your household fuse box. Our GFCI button had popped out when the old heating element died. As soon as I hit the GFCI button, the grill was working better than ever. AAA+ product, easy installation, fast delivery. We are back to grilling, better than ever!!!

At a third of the cost, it works as well as the original element. IT was just slightly larger, but it still fit it was just a little closer to the end of the grill. Easy to install.

Replaced our original Weber Q240 grill with this and 7 months later it's still working. The original had started grounding out. It'll probably happen to this one at some point, but no issues yet.

I ordered this for or beach house. We just arrived back and when I went to install it, I noticed it was broken. I’m 11 days past the window to exchange it. I’m very unhappy!! I need it to be exchanged for an unbroken one.

I replaced my old broken grill element with this one and it works. Replacement took me about 20 minutes of fiddling around (not that I was trying to set any kind of speed record).Process: Unplug grill from electricity. Remove 2 screws to release old element. Pull out old element (it kind of unplugs). Plug in new element. Screw in 2 screws. Plug in grill to electricity. Turn grill on. Grill a steak.Probably the hardest part was finding the screws. I had to scrape off a few layers of grill crud. :-)
