I was shocked by how easy this was to install and more so by the match with the shelving itself. You'd never know I replaced the edging. It's a perfect match and it makes the cabinet shelves look new.

When I ordered this veneer, I was a bit nervous because some reviews said adhesion wasn’t great. But my experience has been that adhesion is absolutely fine. You need to use the iron to warm it up, then you have a couple of seconds to smooth it out on the surface (and move it, if needed!) before the glue cools. If it does cool, you can just warm it up again and move things around. A small plastic spreader helps a lot with the smoothing. Once it’s cold, it’s perfectly attached and looks smooth. The one downside (reason for four stars and not five) is that the birch color I bought has a bit of a gold hue, and doesn’t perfectly match actual birch wood. I think it’ll probably look good once stained, but the natural look is a little off.

Easy to install and wood finish is smooth and thick. Highly recommend the Edge band tool when stripping the reminder.

I love this stuff. I used to to make shelves in a closet and it turned out fantastic. Can't even really tell it's on the edge after sanding! Highly recommend if you don't want the plywood end look.

Works well, It does shrink when heated up a little bit. If sticking on any porous material, you may want to consider wood filler beforehand. I ended up using liquid cement or whatever that glue is called to re-bond this to the edge of my plywood. Looks sweet though.

The material applied well. Easy enough to trim but don't overheat when applying. Since the product is plastic, any pulling or manipulating will cause the product to stretch when warm. Be patient and do not overuse the heat.

The wood is very thin. Plywood shows through.
