Great quality soft rich dark mark making vine charcoal.Slightly bigger diameter sticks and what a value compared to my recent stop gap Blick's art supply store purchase.

If your looking for a good bundle of charcoal for your art needs, then i recommend these!you get 4 containers each with about 25 sticks, they feel relatively soft and are great for quick line work or some intense shading!

These charcoal sticks are like butter going on the paper. I've only ever used charcoal pencils and these are a total different experience to use for me. They glide over the paper so soft and smoothly and you can get them shaped to a point to draw crisp lines with if you want. This is a softer charcoal than pencils to do the softer bigger majority of a drawing with. I think you would still need a harder charcoal pencil for the finer line details if you want to. But I am so loving these to do sketching with, they are perfect and don't break if you put a little pressure on them.
