I got this one specifically because I liked the design of the tie-downs on the cross bar for my use. I have used it to haul a 12 foot kayak and will use it for lumber.The extender is a solid fit in my truck's receiver and the two pieces fit snugly so there's no rattle and no play. Once I lash my kayak to the truck and to this extender, it is solid. Each of the two pieces weighs 10 pounds or less so they are easily managed by one person.Yeah, it only comes with one hitch pin. Most other hitch accessories don't come with a hitch pin either so no big deal. Hitch pins are cheap. Get a few spares. Keep one in your vehicle, one in your toolbox, etc. If you're leaving the truck somewhere (like a boat launch) consider buying a locking hitch pin. And be glad that this extender uses a standard 5/8" hitch pin to hold the two pieces together since they are easily replaced.The product arrived on time and in perfect condition with no damage to the product or the box. I'm really happy with this purchase.

I purchased this so I can easily load my kayak on my pickup truck.This is well made! I purchased a hitch lock. Yes it only comes with one, but I suggest buying a hitch lock so it won’t get stolen.Easy to load by myself and I’m 5 ft tall and petite. Thank you for making a wonderful product!
