Here's a simplified guide on how to use shrink film:

  • 1.Draw, trace, or copy your desired image onto a Shrinky plastic sheet.
  • 2.Cut out your design or punch holes in the plastic as needed.
  • 3.Preheat the oven to 165°C / 325°F.
  • 4.Place the shrink film in the oven and bake at 165°C / 325°F for 1-3 minutes. You'll see it initially wrinkle and then flatten into a smaller, thicker piece of plastic.
  • 5.Watch it shrink until it flattens out again, then allow it to cool for a few seconds.
  • 6.Thread a key ring, ball chain, or ear hooks through any holes you've made.
  • 7.Your fantastic shrinky art is complete!

If you have made a heat shrink sheet that is not flat, you can try the following methods to fix it:

  • 1.Re-heating with a heat gun: put the uneven heat shrink sheet under the heat gun again to heat it up so that it shrinks and becomes flat again. Pay attention to control the heating time and temperature to avoid overheating and causing damage to the heat-shrinkable sheet.
  • 2.Flattening Tools: Use specially designed flattening tools or flatteners to help flatten heat shrink sheets. These tools can make the surface of the heat shrink sheet smoother and flatter.
  • 3.Reheat Processing: If none of the above methods are able to fix the problem, consider reheating and processing the uneven heat shrink sheet into another shape or size, or combining it with other materials to make it again.
  • 4.Please remember to be safe when handling heat shrink sheets to avoid being harmed by the high temperature of the heat shrink sheets. We hope these methods will help you repair uneven heat shrink sheets and perfect your crafts!

These guidelines provide helpful tips for using shrink plastic sheets safely and effectively:

  • Avoid Burns: Take caution when using a heat gun or oven to shrink the plastic sheets to prevent accidental burns from touching the heat source or hot surfaces.
  • Orientation: Place the frosted side of the plastic sheet facing up when baking, as recommended.
  • Clean Surface: Ensure that the surface of the shrink plastic sheet remains clean while heating, and avoid overheating to prevent damage or deformation.
  • Cooling Process: While the shrink plastic sheets are still warm, gently press them with a glass until they return to their original shape to ensure proper shaping.
  • Printer Usage: Note that these shrink plastic sheets are not compatible with printers and should not be used for printing purposes.
  • Age Recommendation: These sheets are suitable for children aged 4 and older, but adult supervision is necessary during the baking process.
  • Protection: To preserve the drawings on the shrink plastic sheets, consider applying white emulsion or epoxy resin over them to prevent smudging or rubbing off.
  • Following these guidelines will help ensure a safe and enjoyable crafting experience with shrink plastic sheets.

Smaller than expected but seems okay quality. About half the size of a standard piece of paper so I have to tape them to a regular sheet of paper to print on top of them, but really good price!

These do very well with colored pencils. I like to draw my design mirrored so the shiny side is on display. They shrink very well but sometimes roll onto themselves so be mindful of that. There are a lot of sheets to use so it’s worth ordering if you have tags, buttons, magnets, keychains or pins you want to make for friends

This product is junk. I followed what little directions were given on the package label and the turned out to be nothing more than potato chip rejects. As seen in the picture, that is the result of 165° for 2-3 minutes. I can't even ask for a refund because I used all of the product for my preschool class for a Father's Day project keepsake. Now there's nothing to show for it. If I could give it a lower rating, I would and demand my money back for the giant waste of time and money.
