Absolutely adorable. It is made of wood and painted a bright green with a ladder and a trap door. It also comes with a painted rainbow, a kettle with gold and 6 gold plastic coins for bait. It also comes with a shamrock, an arrow and two signs to entice the Leprechaun to climb the ladder! The wood panels are interlocking and are a tight fit. Once the "box" portion is together, I would suggest gluing the box sides and top. Do not glue the trap door or its pivot points. My son and grandson built this together and had a great time. Shhh.. he will not catch a Leprechaun but the tricky guy will leave a gift under the box with a note telling him to try and trap him again next year!!

If you are trying to find a leprechaun, this DIY kit will help you catch one. This package includes a wooden base, the green walls for the trap, and all the accessories, including a ladder, a cloud, a wooden pot of gold, and five gold coins. It only takes four steps to put it all together. The instructions are clear, concise, and easy to follow. The first two steps involve assembling the trap box and securing it to the base. The penultimate step (the third step) involves installing the axis and arc that rotate the trap door. For the final step is for you to assemble the other accessories, including the ladder, pot of goldMy only criticism is that you must ensure the trap pieces are secure when assembling this item. It would have been helpful to include a small rubber or plastic mallet. It is a perfect screen-free activity or rainy day fun.The perfect piece to have when decorating for St. Patrick’s Day.

The quality of the materials is good, but the assembly instructions are abysmal. And ours came missing a piece, which means the little trap door at the top doesn't function. It might be cool once, but I don't see us bothering with it in future years.

My wife really loved this because she wants to catch a Leprechaun. Assembly was not that easy for me and took a little bit to force the sides together and the trap door was a bit tight. However, the overall fun of the project was immense. My wife even added clouds and some lights to entice the Leprechauns. Great project and lots of fun

All the magic you need for some St Patrick’s Day fun with your littles. Sturdy the way the colorful wooden pieces interlock like a puzzle. Directions are clear and simple. Comes with everything you need to set the perfect trap. And I cant imagine any Leprechaun that wouldn’t be tempted by this. My only suggestion would be a little wooden hammer to assist in tapping the tighter fitting pieces into place. Now..to catch that tricky Leprechaun.
