I purchased these for my permanent jewelry business. I wrap the different chains I sell around them for display. I thought they may to kind of small for what I wanted but the are the perfect size. They are wooden and of good quality. They function exactly how it wanted them to.

I was putting those grocery store receipts to good use by using them as a base for paper snippet rolls. I the spools would be great to wrap the rolls onto. Unfortunately, the center of the spools were too small for the rolls. NOT really a big deal. Future snippet rolls will be trimmed to fit the spools.

I wanted to use these as legs on a table riser shelf but the ends are not perfectly flat and not exactly all the same height either so my shelf would wobble and/or I wouldn't get solid contact when trying to glue them to my board. I love the stained look but these look more like they were hand made individually, which would be great if you didn't require any stability out of them. I am sure they would make wonderful rustic decor of some kind. Sadly, I need them to be functional and these are not it. I will go back to the unfinished wood spools I have ordered in the past. My recommendation is to think about how you will use these. If your ends need to be flat and you need them all to be a consistent height, you should pass on these. If they will be used individually or for purely decorative purposes, go for it!
