This is an legit, for real, absolute Hampton Bay remote control. I lost the original remote to my 20+ years old ceiling fan/ light. This is the second remote I tried. The first one said for Hampton Bay fans, but it did not work for my fan and I returned it. I spent an extra $20 on this one and It Works!!!

This worked great with a 30+ year old Hampton Bay ceiling fan in our house. I was surprised I could get a replacement for it.

Our old remote stopped working due to the light-on-button wearing out. I took my time to find the correct replacement--the color of the buttons must match exactly to work with your particular ceiling fan. I only had to match the dip switches inside the battery compartment (in my case, set them all to 0 to match the prior remote's setting), add batteries, and now it works like new. I'd rather be able to turn the light on with a wall switch, but that is not meant to be with the ceiling fan we purchased so many years ago, so the remote is vital to being able to use the ceiling fan/light at all.

This remote control replaced the original remote that had not been working for three years. I didn’t realize how easily I could have replaced the old one until my son suggested just ordering a new one from Amazon. Thanks Amazon for making life easier.

Third time a charm. I tried two of the generic remotes which didn't work. I should have purchased the OEM from the beginning! So glad I didn't have to trash my favorite ceiling fan!

It’s exactly like the original . All I had to do was set the DIP switches to be in the same pattern as the old remote and it worked immediately!
