It works very well, even has a sensitivity switch to turn down the sensors sensitivity. I was able to detect the metal pipes in my bathroom walls from adjacent walls too.

This is a great metal detection wand for use at any school, community, or church event. It's easy to operate and store. My only complaint is I seem to have to practically touch the person I'm scanning for it to detect metal. I wish it was a little more sensitive. That, or I may not have figured out how to set it correctly to be so. Either way, it's a great portable metal detector.

I was very surprised at how accurate this detector was. For this price point I was expecting some silly little toy as I got it as a part of a costume. You can actually use this in the professional environment. Multiple setting options and the ease of use is very refreshing. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing that added security at any event.

It worked when I got it. Went to use it few days later the battery was dead, put in new battery , unit would not shut off.
