Got this to fix slightly damaged tire stud threads on a car I was working on. Fixed the threads and the lug nut went right on with no issues after this.

I had a damaged wheel stud on my Honda Accord. I was quoted $60 or more to replace it. Instead I bought this item and re-threaded the damaged end. The lug nut screwed on easily. I may someday go around and do the others to remove rust and clean them off.

I had never used a die before, so I was a little apprehensive. My brother had damaged one of the wheel studs on my Civic, and we couldn't get the lug nut back on. I figured out the thread size and this matched, so I got it, put the flared open side onto the stud, put a wrench on it, and started turning. Worked great. Turned it to the bottom of the stud and took it off again. Lug nut goes right on now.

A bunch of teeth broke out on the first use. Used lots of cutting fluid and the major diameter was correct but it completely shattered out on one side. Will never buy Irwin taps or dies again.

Worked absolutely perfect for what I needed. I had end stripping of the lug bolts on my wheels. Carefully turned this onto the bolts by hand and then once true with the threads, turned it on with a wrench. Worked really well, nut go on nicely now.

The thread pitch matches the description, not the photo. The machining is a bit rough for a few of the cutting teeth.

I used it to restore a thread on a lug studs on Toyota. Worked well.
