Ideal for use on sheds, barns, storage bins and other residential and agricultural applications. Automatically latches when door is closed. Includes a separate bracket that is used to hold open doors. Can be used for right or left hand applications and in or out-swinging doors. Can be pad locked for additional security.

Using this on a pieced-together door we built for our cabin. LOVE the fact that it could be installed with a large drill bit (no carving out the inside / side of the door to fit a traditional doorknob). Installed in 15 minutes and works like a charm. Ordering a second one for the back door.

I this on our shed door. Not very shiny anymore but pretty sturdy. I didn’t use the screws that came with it as they looked a little short for what I was doing.

Lowes sells a better Latch, this one is not pre greased so it squeaks and binds in the first week. as well the receiver is blunt ended so it does not close by itself so if you think this will work with self closing hinges think again. Its heavy duty would be good for maybe a barn door that you dont care if it squeaks and is hard to turn

Very sturdy product that does what it says. It's easy to use and figure out, however I took one star off because my HORSE has figured out how to open it so it's kind of rendered its purpose moderately useless. I understand that's a strange circumstance but worth noting just for laughs. Everything else about the product is really great.
