This spit is actually quite nice and very sharp, which is not what I was expecting for most bits online. No complaints so far

This worked perfect for me. It is just slightly larger than 1" PVC... just enough from for it to slide through, and not much else. Exactly what I needed.

I use an R8 collet when using a Forstner bit or a 3/8 extension. None of these fit this cutter because the shank is metric.

This bit was the exact size I needed for a specific project. It does well in softer woods. Struggles a little with harder wood but can make a nice clean cut if due care is taken.

I ordered this forstner drill bit because I needed a 58mm drill bit to install some door handles in my sliding doors. This is an odd size so I was surprised to find it and ordered it right away. The price of this drill bit is $27.99. It's well made and sharp however the centerpoint on the bit is fairly shallow and doesn't have enough 'BITE" to anchor the drill bit and prevent accidental skipping. If you are drilling soft woods like popular it's ok but if you are drilling into harder woods the bit tends to skip and jump out of alignment and damaging the surface. I was drilling hole for door pulls in PINE doors and ended up damaging one when the bit skipped across the surface. Tried it again and the result was the same. I abandoned using this bit on the remaining doors and went to a conventional hole sale. It was much more work but my hole saw was able to drill the holes safely without further damaging the doors.Overall I like this bit but with the center point was longer to allow you to anchor the bit. A threaded center point like a Spade bit would be a good idea.If you are drilling is soft wood this drill bit may work better but I would not recommend it for harder woods.I would not buy it again.

Not sharp enough but acceptable for the price. Not recommended for fine works.
