Worked good on a 04 Chevy 4.2L L6, although, I did have to use a hose clamp to hold the arms in place while using and appling pressure. But for the price, it was worth it. This isn't a tool I'm using a lot, so it worked good for me.

Used for my 2015 Tahoe Engine (L83) but should work for any LS variants.

I'm replacing the timing components on a 2018 Chevy Malibu and needed to pull the harmonic balancer, I have numerous pullers none of which would fit the flywheel on this vehicle correctly, most (and this puller) can pull from 2 directions to grab onto the balancer by flipping the legs in one direction, the pulley on this vehicle requires a puller to grab on the 3 inside holes of the pulley, i was able to get this pulley to work by using the legs of the pulley to barely grab the inside of one of the 3 holes, if this pulley could have it's legs also pull from the side it would have saved so much time and ease, I thought about drilling an additional hole on the inside of the leg so the included pin for each leg would fit, but wasn't sure if it would damage the integrity of the puller, or include a set of legs that also pull from the side? Anyway this puller worked, but would be nice to have an additional pulling option.

I used this to remove the pulley on my 5.3 LC9 engine. The tool worked fine and made the job a snap. The jaws grab the recessed pockets on the backside of the pulley securely and didn't seem like they would slip at all. I was a little skeptical of how the pins would work but they worked fine for me and make the job quicker versus leaving the crank bolt in to push against and having to loosen several times. The rods also help to prevent damaging the crank snout threads too. Make sure you reinstall the pulley with an installation tool and not the bolt, and remember to use a new bolt too. The case is nice too and helps prevent loosing any of the parts.

The build quality here is good -- but the fingers were too short to actually latch on to a 2006 Chevy Cobalt motor's harmonic balancer. This makes the tool useless for me, unfortunately. It is a true shame, because the case is good, the metal quality is good, and I really have nothing else to complain about.I wish they included a longer set of extractor claws!
