Did its job perfectly when doing timing belt and seals on a Toyota 2JZ. The posts on the tool were rock solid and had no issues breaking loose or torqueing the cam bolts. They are tapered so it holds onto the cam spokes firmly without having to worry about it slipping. Invaluable tool and priced right to make it not worth trying hacks and home brews and risk causing pricey damages. Only works on cam gears that have spokes so didn't fit on my 2JZ VVTI intake cam gear. Just leave the timing belt on and clamp the belt together below the gears and this will tension the belt onto both gears and you can hold the exhaust gear to break loose the intake gear.

I used this tool to hold camshaft pulleys on a V6 Toyota. Easy to use and fits well in pulley. The cam shafts have flats for holding with a wrench, but this tool is needed if not removing valve covers. Recommended.

I was hoping to use this same tool for both the camshaft and the crankshaft pulleys of my Toyota Camry 98, but it only fit the camshaft and I ended up having to buy a separate tool just to hold the crankshaft pulley. Otherwise, it's fine. It is super sturdy and will probably last forever.

Used this tool to break a camshaft pulley of a 2002 Tacoma, it worked as it should. Best $16 tool I've invested yet ðŸ‘

I liked that it wasn’t too heavy. It’s the right tool for the job! I took out the harmonic balancer and replaced my timing belt with this tool on a 08’ Chrysler 300!
