The Hay Chix Half Bale Net (formerly known as 'Mini Net') attaches easily to a trailer, eye hook, fence or tree. This net has an oval snap included for easier hanging. Use it in the stall for a bored or stall bound horse. This net helps save time when setting up feedings, just hang and you are done!
It is also perfect for keeping your feeding program on track while on the go. This net holds about 1/2 of a small square bale (4-6 flakes.) Whether at home or away, use this easy to fill net for all your horse needs.

Top marks for the HayChix slow feed hay nets! I have two performance horses who eat, well, like horses. These nets have changed my feeding routine and improved my horses quality of life...and mine!!! At first I was hugely skeptical about using a hay net as part of my daily feeding program. Other nets I have tried have lasted only a few days, have been difficult and clumsy to fill and hang, and the hay ends up as bedding 😕I’m also a Prime snob...and the HayChix feeders are not available with Prime - but don’t let this dissuade you, they are absolutely worth the extra shipping cost! This is actually the second time I have ordered these nets, and only because they are lifesavers! I work 12-hour shifts as a surgical nurse, and every minute I can save in my morning routine is golden. With these nets, I can prepare 48 hours of hay and just change out the nets in the morning. Each net holds 30-35 pounds of hay (half a small square bale). I have found that there is less waste of hay using these nets, and now that the horses are used to having 24-hour access to their hay, they tend to “graze†on their nets, coming and going and munching throughout the day, instead of chowing down on the flakes I used to throw out and pacing the paddock like maniacs waiting for their next meal. So I spent a little more on HayChix’s excellent (and did I mention extremely well made, super easy to use, and durable) hay nets, but I feel like they have already paid for themselves by saving me time, decreasing wasted hay, and improving my horse’s ability to graze more slowly and naturally through a whole day. I recommend these nets to anyone who wants the best for themselves AND their horses!UPDATE:Now almost three years later and my HayChix nets are still in daily use and going strong! I honestly have only the best things to say about these excellent hay nets. I save on average two bales a week using these nets versus loose feeding, and with the cost of hay creeping ever-higher, these nets save me money, time, and keep my horses safer, healthier, and happy. And did I mention, they are practically indestructible!?! They take a beating from my horses and I have only had to use the included extra rope to repair one break in one square of the netting once, about two years ago.A huge thank you to HayChix and their amazing product!

My horse is recovering from founder and needs his hay soaked before he can eat it, and he needs to be slowed down rather than “hoovering†it up! These nets are the BEST! I have purchased two and am about to purchase another so I can really keep my horse’s assembly line of ready hay going!I usually have one full bag soaking in the tub for 30-60 minutes, then I hang it by the rope to drip dry while he’s working on the other hay net. It keeps the hay up off the ground, the holes are the perfect size, and it’s DURABLE! Wet hay is HEAVY, and I have to tug and yank to get it out of the water multiple times a day, and the bag still looks good as new.Worth every penny! If you need to soak hay, get a few of these and a 44 gallon wheeled “Brute†trash bin (the wheels make all the difference, and it’s the perfect size to soak a full one of these nets) and you’re in business!Great product!

I have 7 of these hay nets that I use around my pastures for my horses and donkeys. They hold a good amount of hay and they are very durable. I haven’t found any other hay nets that is comparable.

Much better quality than other hay nets and well designed. You may want to go to their website Haychix.com for more options. This one is perfect for 3 of my horses. For one of my horses, I needed a net with smaller openings for a slower feed and heavy duty as she is very destructive. I found one on their site.

This was the third type of slow hay feeder we have tried. Our Quarter Horse mare manage to tear up the first two.. This brand is very durable. It works well to slow her down eating hay and she hasn't managed to even put a tear in it!!!

Buyer beware. This is not the same quality bag as what is sold on the haychix site. It's a decent haybag, but the bag and the rope are definitely not the same as haychix.
