Recently I was given a Docking Station for my Work at Home setup, so I could clear some of the cable-clutter at my desk. Trouble is the Video Connections have to be HDMI, and the second monitor I was using was a DVI to USB C cable. So I got this so I could plug it into the Dock. Worked as soon as I plugged it in & freed up another USB C port on my MacBook. Worth every penny.

Didn't work, tested with 3 monitors, and 2 conputers. Our son dropped our good HDMI monitor so I pulled out a copule of old monitors. The monitors all work with the old VGA to VGA older laptop we have, so I know they are in good condition, but what ever combination I tried it just did not work

Works perfectly, I use my laptop in 2-screen mode - laptop is the "2nd extra" screen on the side, 23" main screen front and center. This cable connects the HDMI-output laptop to the single available input on my monitor.(There is an HDMI input on the monitor, but that's filled by the much more powerful desktop I use for video processing )
