I was not expecting this to work but it worked great. I am using a 4K TV with an older laptop that only had VGA and DVI. This did the trick and everything looks as it should.

I hooked it up to my laptop's VGA port and connected the HDMI cable, power cord and 3.5mm audio cable.My TV said it is an unsupported signal. I think it was getting a signal of some sort, because usually it says no signal if there's nothing.This was on a 2010 Sony NSXGT40 TV.I'll try it again on another TV and update.

Works well to connect mini PC to TV easy to use quick set up solid picture and audio quality I bought the wrong converter twice before this came quickly and set up took less than 2 min

The item arrived as promised and appeared to be in fine shape until I hooked it up and I could not get it working. I saw no instructions or any information that would help me, although I was happy to see it and it did not appear to be difficult to hook-up. After spending too much time and not getting it to work, even on two different monitors, I gave up and started the return process. This also went smoothly and a refund was a prompt as anyone could hope for.

The VGA to HDMI Adapter Converter with 3.5mm Audio for PC VGA Source Output to TV/Monitor with HDMI Connector (Active Male VGA to Female HDMI 1080P@60Hz Video Dongle) is currently $10.99 which is a reasonable price if you need one right away.I have just replaced my monitor and the replacement didn't support VGA (has 2 HDMI & 1 DP), but I am using a VGA KVM switch (with 4 PCs). I used this adapter on the output of the KVM switch to the HDMI in on my monitor and it works great. The bonus was that I was able to power this adapter from a spare USB port on my KVM. Note that this adapter needs to be powered unlike the devices that convert in the opposite direction (VGA to HDMI). But it comes with a 3ft micro-USB to USB-A cable. It also comes with an audio cable (mini headphone on both ends)So far this has worked great at 1080P@60Hz. It has a very clear picture (some inputs from the KVM have a bit of ghosting, but not all. So I think that my switch or cables are at fault).Great if you have some older VGA equipment that doesn't support HDMI. No drivers needed, just plug it in.5 stars, recommended!

This is a great adapter for going from an VGA connection to a HDMI monitor. The great thing it is very cheap and allows you to also get audio as well on the HDMI monitor you are going to. This is great because in most cases you would need a box to go from an analog to digital connection to have full audio with the HDMI signal. Those boxes normally ran $100 or so, but this connector/adapter to $11.Recommend this adapter for someone needing to go from an analog to digital signal.
