Absolutely gorgeous!The mortar fits perfectly in one hand and is not too heavy; while the pestle is a perfect weight and size for grinding many things. Although i have only used it once, so far, I was able to grind frankincense resin into a fine powder in a matter of minutes. The top/opening is smaller than the bell/bottom, so it definitely helps prevent material from flying out, although it can take some finesse to keep this from happening.Cleaning is quick and straightforward, and the smooth surface helps prevent material from getting embedded in the bowl.Overall, this product is easy to use and clean, and well worth the money. I look forward to utilizing this beautiful work of art for many, many years to come.

Beautiful and heavy, exactly what I was hoping for. Small enough to be held in one hand, and comes with a little rubber mat for when I'm using it on the counter.

I bought this as a present for my son, who is a passionate and fussy chef, as he was always stealing my mortar and pestle. Mine is nice, but this one is MUCH nicer - very deep, solid and heavy. I expect it will be more versatile than the standard one - hold more and less likely to spill over.

Perfect size for someone who uses it occasionally or every single day! Absolutely in love! Easy to clean! And it looks cute sitting beside the stove! What’s not to love!

This is a very sturdy, heavy mortal and pedestal. It’s very good for crushing pills or vitamins. Perfect size for me. It is a little heavy, but I think this is necessary.
