I dropped my last pestle on my stone floor and it broke. I have owned my set for so many years it really upset me. I was lucky to find this product. It is slightly larger and heavier than my last one but that works out. I now have arthritis in my hands so the larger one is easier to use. The nose is “rough†and that speeds up grinding. All in all I am happy with my purchase and recommend it.

I felt badly for breaking the one that came with my set. I felt worse when I found out this replacement cost about as much as the set did on sale. The good news is the replacement pestle matches as well as the old one, is more substantial and easier to use. The grinding end in particular is wider and has better grooving for superior performance. Amazon delivers.

I had broken mine a few years back and kept my mortar. Worked wonderfully. Does it match my mortar.....no but that wasn't a priority of mine. Good weight to it and fits well in your hand.

Works great. Perfect size for a full bowl of something. Not realistic for teaspoon sized grinding. This thing will take on the tough jobs!

I found a beautiful granite mortar at the thrift store and I went on the hunt for a replacement pestle. I purchased this one. Although it is not an exact color match is is perfectly fine for me.
