Bought this to replace a worn out piston on a drafting chair. I had a heck of a time getting the old one out, but that's more of an fyi to anyone looking to replace it. This one fit right in the old base and works as it should. Hopefully it will last longer than the original piston.

Judge for yourself.This item cost about 30% of the original cost of the chair.The OEM this item replaced lasted +/- 3 years before starting to fail.I am of moderate strenght and having used the tools (an additional investment) as instructed in online videos to replace, the effort to remove the part to be replaced was a significant effort beyond depiction in the videos.This lift cylender seemed to work very nicely for the 1st 4-5 months (mostly chare daily use). Initial minor infrequent slips are now frequent daily - actually it is a challenge to regularly maintain desired chair height ... that sinking feeling ... the constant interruption in getting things done.Would I purchase it again - definately not !

Getting the old one out of the bar stool was a little tricky. Once that was done, I could get the measurements and model info., to search and ultimately settle on this one. Glad I did. It's perfect.

I wanted my gaming office chair to sit higher. I purchased this and it fit perfectly!! I highly recommend if you want to sit up higher than the average office chair and you have a adjustable heighten desk. I am 5’5 and well off the floor now, with this piece on my chair, with it at its lowest height. At its highest height the chair is extremely high in the air, like mid room high.**1st picture is the chair at its lowest.**2nd picture is the chair at its highest.

This was exactly what I needed. I would suggest renaming it as I didn’t find it searching Amazon, but found on a google search. Maybe barstool hydraulic lift replacement. May be better than the original that the stool came with - this is the replacement you need!!

This chair cylinder was purchased November 2, 2023, and worked fine until February 9, 2024 this is when it started losing its ability to stay up. And this only had a 30 day return. Not worth buying if it’s only gonna last three months.
