I was worried about this product with so many negative reviews, but I had no problem with installing or functioning of this clock mechanism. Works perfectly so far. I purchased 2 in different shaft lengths... one for a new wooden clock I made and another to replace a clock I purchased at Hobby Lobby because it was missing a clock hand. Both work without problem so far.

Purchased to replace. Absolute junk. After replacing and everything seemingly in order, clock keeping perfect time, I awoke this morning to a clock that was running 4 hours behind. The original movement removed had a C battery. This movement had one double A. Will be sending this junker back and finding one locally with a C battery.

The instructions are contradictory and pretty much useless. The minute hand is not a precision fit onto the shaft. Unless you firmly tighten the nut holding the minute hand, it will slip due to gravity and give you 4-5 minute inaccuracy at various times.

I needed a replacement motor for a clock that kept stopping. I chose this one mainly for the length of the hands. The length of the shaft was really too long for my needs. I used the nut from my old motor on the shaft behind the clock face and so there is a gap of about 1/2 inch between the motor body and the clock motor housing. I think a second nut should be included 2 in this kit to allow for those kinds of adjustments but there is but one.The motor seems to keep decent time. I have had it installed for a couple of weeks and haven't noticed a drift. The hands are very thin and flimsy, but this was not unexpected. I reused my original hour hand because I liked the length better than the included one, though they wasn't a vast difference.I am fairly satisfied with this purchase. It looks decent and the clock isn't randomly stopping anymore.

Worked great with the original clock hands. It took a bit of looking at various models to find one that would take my original clock hands. This one worked perfectly. The hands that came with it were a bit too big to use.

I bough my wife a large (24") clock over a decade ago, but the motor in it never worked well, and wouldn't keep time. It was always a source of frustration to look on the wall at a nice clock that didn't keep time. Finally got the idea to look for higher torque motors on Amazon and found this quickly. Installed easily the clock now works. It is not super accurate (loses about a minute a week), but not bad. I don't mind making the occasional adjustment. There may be a way to speed it up, but I haven't figured that out. Watch YouTube videos to help with installation ideas.

Fit my clock perfectly and saved it from the trash. Great product and reasonably priced. Honestly, the hardest part was removing the old motor part without damaging the clock. Great replacement part. Yay!

Didn’t receive the high torque mechanism even after replacement. Received the normal mechanism.. Not worth the price
