The original movement on this clock was a little underpowered, and the nut holding the hands came off at some point and was lost. I had been looking for a new movement and couldn’t find anything until I stumbled upon this one. The hands are a little long, which is my fault, but I just clipped the very tip of the minute hand and it works perfectly.Ever since replacing this several months ago, it has been working flawlessly and has given me back this clock, which was a gift from my daughter, who made it.

My clock mechanism went out and I was left with a very large open frame clock 36 in wide so I didn’t want to toss it so I looked into the replacement of the clock mechanism and was so happy and pleased I found this product it was perfect and really easy to install and I used my own clock hand even though they sent me a set I liked mine better a cheap fix for an expensive clock highly recommend

1 YEAR UPDATE:Unfortunately after less than a year the mechanism is starting to fail, clock hands become a couple minutes behind over the course of 24 hours. Not a battery issue as I tested it out with multiple new batteries.——————Worked well on heavy clock hands.My 4’ pottery barn galvanized clock stopped keeping accurate time. I tried replacing it with other company’s “high torque†movement but they couldn’t handle the weight and length of my clock hands. About a month in and so far so good with this brand keeping accurate time. There is a quiet ticking noise but I can live with it.

Used as a replacement for large wallclock. Directions to assemble were very clear, gave pictorial. Please note that hands are very lightweight but I think in order for the mechanism to rotate the hands, they need to be. This does not make my $100 old clock look cheap.

I used this product to fix our clock . I used our old hands as they fitted our clock better, the running gear works great with the old hands and the longer mast actually sits better than the old mechanism. I am happy with this product. Perth ,WA
