This Highwings 4K Display Port to HDMI Adapter worked with NVidia Quadro K4000. I know the video card is too old to write review about. But it worked! HDMI is female. Display port (DP) is male. There is no lock on DP port and I'm happy about it. I had a different HDMI to DP port adapter (solid one, no cable) before with locking mechanism, which was stuck in my Video card one day when I tried to pull that out and I had to break plastic casing to get to the locks to pull that adapter out. This one plugs in and out freely, without problem and works. I can't tell about 4k transfer, though. I didn't use it for that purpose.

Good length on the adapter. Braded fabric should make it last long. Not a bad price (got the 2 pack). All in all, so far it has been a good pick. If that changes, I will update my rating.

I use this adapter for my docking station, it has two ports next to each other. This adapter skin enough that It doesn't too wide that take other port space. It also have extra extended that also help when I plug the HDMI, it doesn't stick out too long. I can bend up or down to save space.

See how the entire description of this item lists all the things you want then at the very end just says the word "passive"?What does this mean? Well it pretty much means "This product won't work for most devices" because unless your device already has hardware on board to push the signal as a DP signal (which is different than HDMI) then it literally does nothing at all.Now I find this both frustrating and stupid as all hell because why TF would any sane person want to convert an HDMI signal to DP if they already had the native ability to do so in the first place?The only scenario I can think of is if you just so happen to have an HDMI output product that the hardware developers just so happened to make DP compatible and and then you have zero HDMI input devices in your home like another monitor or TV and you just so happen to have DP input only monitors.So just to recap. Dell sucks, this "adapter" is a joke and you should just buy an HDMI monitor. What a god awful mess of garbage.

I needed an adapter so as not to have to keep unplugging the display port on my gaming rig to do some configuration. I got this because both my elitedesk machines only had display ports and I only had HDMI available. The braided line and the metal ends should last a long time.
