This worked flawlessly for what I needed it for. It auto-detected the comm parameters and Baud rate and immediately established communication through screen and minicom in Mac terminal. I changed the http port on my Swann Surveillance DVR which astoundingly bricks the unit sending it into a boot loop because the port attributes are stored in the flash memory as well as the kernel. I hooked this up, interrupted the auto-boot, entered the console, and called for the DVR to send me the password file which, by design for security purposes, then resets everything to default. Saved me from having to spend $250 plus on a new surveillance DVR, after Swann tech support told me it was simply a faulty unit.

This has worked reliably with two or three different microcontrollers and has been a part of my experimental circuits I can expect to perform. I have used it to power small projects and it has survived some erroneous set ups

had to trim back heat shrink so it would fully seat in usb port. also had to manually download and install drivers from silicon labs. other than that worked perfectly. headers are soldered at an angle but doesn't matter

This device was dead on arrival. Upon inspection, there were several manufacturing defects. The 5v pin and ground were shorted out and there were problems with the serial connection pins being shorted as well. The design of the device appears to be sound, but it was manufactured poorly and did not work.

I have been using this as a USB to ttl converter to communicate to a Skywatcher HEQ5 telescope mount. It works fine for this.I had to install a driver for it on my Windows 10 machine. It just worked in Linux Mint 19.3. Find drivers at the site of the chip manufacturer.There is heat shrink over the board and USB connector. It's to protect the board I think. It extended far enough over the USB connector that it interfered with plugging it into the USB port on my laptop. I had to cut it back a little to ensure a good connection. I had to do this on both of these that I received.Overall it works fine. I'd buy it again.

Sehr praktisch, dass die kleinen Dupond Kabel dabei sind. Installation selbsterklärend. RX und TX überkreuzen, dann funktionierts auch.

Funciona perfectamente, y ademas tiene 5V y 3V (creo, puede que sean 3.3V, no lo he comprobado)Se conecta perfectamente dando un serial de "0001" en la interfaz USB con el nombre de "CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller".

Je m'en suis servi pour programmer des esp 32 et cam sous windows 11 fonctionne très bien , il m'a fallu installer le driver pour qu'il sois reconnu win 11 ne le fait pas tout seul après tout roule :)

Mi serviva un converitore seriale-USB per effettuare un cambio firmware su un router, che dire funziona alla perfezione e per windows 10 non sono necessari nemmeno i driver, viene riconosciuta direttamente dal sistema. Non ho avuto problemi, e molto comodo anche il cavo in dotazione che si collega alla perfezione dei pin sia sulla board che su questo adattatore, senza prendere ulteriori cavi ed effettuare collegamenti strani! Veramente consigliata, 5 stelle meritate!
