I read one of these reviews about a customer who chipped the paint despite using a rag to cover his tool - well, I discovered a slot underneath the rubber cap that I successfully used to screw the door stops into my walls.Use the slot, but be gentle. Now you don’t have to worry about paint chips or the horrible sound of the old spring door stops.

Cheap and easy.The screws have a machined end that goes into the door stopper while the other end is a wood screw.One wood screw end was stripped and mangled from the factory and unusable.All of the machine ends were a bit difficult to get started in the doorstop. Some would only thread in half way until you started tightening the wood screw end into the door.Overall given the low price and decent quality of the doorstop itself I would still recommend it.

New construction - I wanted hinges, handles and hardware to match. I found these door stoppers which have a beautiful finish, they were easy to install, the length is perfect to keep the door handle from hitting the wall. Only if I could keep my toddlers from ripping off the rubber stopper, I still recommend it, especially if you don’t gave toddlers.
