These ball latched worked well, but know what you need to do BEFORE installing these. There were NO instructions included in the packaging. I had to go back to the original listing to capture the measurement and instruction slides, and I was able to figure out the install process. I used a 7/8" paddle bit to drill the latch hole on top of the door and then drove the ball latch in with the equivalent of a nylon head hammer. The latch plate was the hardest part to install, because one of the doors on which I was working had a TIGHT top seam. I had to recess the strike plate, but because the strike plate had three bump-outs of metal (the two screw holes and the strike area), I additionally used hole saw bits to drill shallow holes behind those bump outs so that the plate sat flat in the door frame. When it was done it worked well.

I was able to easily remove the old ball assembly and replace it with the replacement in less than two minutes. It fit perfectly and our bathroom door is back to working perfectly.

These were better than the originals that came with the door and now our pantry doors are very smooth and easy to open and close.

These were replacements for broken closet catches. The items worked, but I had to remove the dark outer sleeve on the new ball catches to make them fit easily into the old catches' holes. I didn't have to replace the old strike plates, so this made the job easier. It was much harder to remove the old Drive in Ball Catchers than it was to install the new ones.

The ball kept falling out of my old unit. I tried to squeeze it back into place several times but the ball kept popping out. After installing this one, I've had no issues and it works better than the original ever did. This is good quality and recommend to anyone that needs to replace theirs.
