This pole with a hook is super strong...much stronger than I expected. I really like that it doesn't bend at all even when my heavy Hayward Navigator pool cleaner filled with water is on the other end.There are many uses for this product other than pool cleaner retrieval. It can come in handy for many reaching or lifting tasks.The telescoping pole is not really that. The pole consists of screw together sections, so its length is adjusted by the number of sections used. That's OK and even better, because the sections are of equal diameter and connect securely which adds to the pole's strength.I really like that this pole and hook are so heavy duty and strong. It's a reliable tool that's up to the job.

The ORAPXI Robot Pool Cleaner Hook is a solid and well-built pole and hook designed to grab cleaners, sweepers, or other objects in or floating on a pool surface.The pole and hook are made of very durable and sturdy metal pieces, and easily grabs and pulls pool accessories like sweeps or robot cleaners. The pole comes in four different pieces so it can be shortened for pulling skimmer debris baskets or lengthened for work in the deeper part of the pool. The hook has a U-shaped design that is suitable for grabbing most robotic pool cleaners, including cordless and in-ground models.The only negative for me is the length of the pole when fully assembled, which is 68 inches. If you have an older pool with a deeper (8 feet or more) deep end, the pole may not be long enough to grab a cleaners or sweep. That being said, at close to 6 feet, the pole is long enough for most uses.Highly recommended!

I got this as an all-around tool to grab stuff around the pool. Primarily, however, I got it to lift the baskets out of the skimmer. This is a small convenience that after 14 seasons as a pool owner, I decided to indulge in. It will just be nice to not have to get down on the ground and go lifting those baskets out when they're full of pollen, slimy vegetation, and sometimes critters.The tool is made well. It has four pieces that are identical except that one has a rubber handle. This allows you to use as few as one piece for the shortest lengh. You do have to remove the hook if you wish to lengthen past the first section. If you're using more than one section normally, just add the hooked up section to the rest of the pieces you need and you won't need to remove the hook.The machining seems fairly flawless. The pieces were clean and screwed together perfectly. There is knurling on the threaded hook adaptor, so if it gets on there too tight, you'll be able to get ahold of it. The rubber handle is nice to give you a place to grip without slipping on the wet stainless steel.I think this will work fine for the skimmer baskets and to retrieve the pool robot (if its close to the edge). Even at 68" long I have a hard time seeing how this can be used to retrieve objects very far from the side (even in my 50" deep pool). The only other issue I had, and I knew this when I got it, is that it's a little bit of a pain to adjust the lengths. You have to store them somewhere, which will add to poo; area clutter, unless you plan to walk inside if you need the extra lengths. Then you have to thread the pieces together. I might just keep it at full length and see if that is functionally ok to grab the baskets. Then I can store it with my regular poles and not worry about the adjusting or storing.Clearly this issue is a known factor if you're looking at this product. Just don't forget about it or try to convince yourself it isn't an issue if you think it might be.

Many of the robotic pool vacuums come with a hook attachment to add to your existing pool brush/net pole but you have to swap out the attachments every time you use them. This system comes with not only the necessary hook to grab the vacuum with, but also its own sturdy pole so you can have it ready to go every time. While you may only use your pool brush or net occasionally, you will need to retrieve your pool vacuum robot from the bottom of the pool every day or so. This is a great inexpensive solution.

This does work for retrieving my remote pool vacuum if it doesn't stop in the deep end. There are 4 pieces that screw together, it is not telescoping which would be much better for any pool use. In the deep end I would have to stick my arm into the water to retrieve the vacuum or any toys that may be there. Seems to be sturdy and built well, but better for using it in a spa or shallow pool. It definitely would not reach to the middle of any regular pool. Depending on what you are wanting to use it for I would not recommend it if you have a deep ended pool.

This pole has some serious heft to it. It comes in 4 pieces that screw together and then the hook screws onto the top. I always worry about these things coming unscrewed but so far it's held up just fine. I might put some tape around those joints if it starts to get loose but so far it is very sturdy.The hook on the end is a heckuva lot better than the one that came with my Polaris Freedom pool robot. That one is hard to get it hooked underneath the handle but since this hook is a lot thinner, it is much easier to get it in the space needed.

This product is a exception to almost anything I've ever bought on Amazon. Wow, talk about high quality! This pole over exceeded my expectations and is not some cheap little aluminum Pole. I could probably pick up a lead brick with this thing and it wouldn't bend. I would not hesitate to buy this again. But I won't never have to because there's no way the thing is ever going to break. Great product and value
