I did not realize that they were not one solid piece. They work well for what I'm using it for, which is to store blankets in my living room...lol...not sure about how well they would hold up to a large animal.

Not as neat as the image makes it out to bethe installation/visual isnt AS good as the photos make it out to be, there is clearly visible connecting pieces, but if youre using this for animals who caresI am using this to hold blankets over my couch.

I followed the Internet trend and got this for our blankets. I love it, no more blankets, laying all of the couch! It is quite heavy and very sturdy.

I installed this in the living, for our couch blankets. When the kids are finished using the blankets they throw them in here. Durable and made well. Would definitely buy again.

**update to review, it infact did not stand up to livestock as it is fully broken**Very disappointed in the product. Not sure how it will stand up to horses, as the quality of the metal is super light weight. We love the look of it but hopefully we're not scraficing on quality to have a nice looking feeder as the price tag was not cheap.

Received this hay rack today, when getting out the box u can see it is made so cheap, on putting together nothing lined up and the middlej joining bay is so loose one pull of hay through the bars and it will snap
