I've been using this with my Line 6 HX one, and it works perfectly. The android app is available via hotone's website if you struggle finding it. Comes with power supply, but you will need to supply your own 5 Pin MIDI cable. Easy to configure and control. The app is straightforward and doesn't require desktop software. Connecting via Bluetooth happens via the app, and by holding foot switches 2 and 3 down together. You can create an account on the app, or skip it like I do. Anything programmed to the pedal stays there and it remembers the last bank of programs you were on between power cycles. Works perfect for my application which is to cycle thru specific HX one presets. Built well, and probably the easiest MIDI programmable switch out there with tons of options and features. Would recommend.

Finding the right MIDI footcontroller is not easy. They can be too big, too expensive, too limited in programmability, too loud... the list goes on. This one gets nearly everything right. The programmability is extensive, the mobile app is *really* well executed - super flexible and super easy to use - the controller itself is compact and well constructed, with nice quiet switches. So far so good.I was disappointed that the Ampero Control couldn't be run off of a 9V battery. Hotone must have felt that the current draw would have resulted in too short a battery life. 6x AA would have changed the form factor. A rechargeable internal battery would have been ideal IMO, but this would have changed the price point. If you're plugging this into PC/Mac it's USB-powered, so all's well, and if you're running this on a larger board, then 9V DC is easy enough. But if you want to run it as a standalone Bluetooth controller, or run with a single MIDI cable, the need for DC power is... inelegant. (I finally settled on an external 6x AA enclosure.)4 switches is what it is. I wish there were 8. Obviously, that would make this a different - bigger and more expensive - product. But this one proves that Hotone are *very* good at this sort of thing, so I hope they release a couple of larger variations - an 8 switch with internal rechargeable battery would be ideal. One last thing that's been a challenge: the Ampero Control lets you plug 2 expression pedals, footswitches, or dual footswitches into ports on the back. These work great and here again the mobile app is very slick in terms of configuration. However, a dual switch can't be programmed to do the one most obvious thing, which is to change banks of settings up and down on the Ampero Control itself. As it stands you have to press switches 1/2 simultaneously for bank down, and 3/4 simultaneously for bank up. This is sensible in terms of reducing footprint, but double footswitch events are unpredictable in actual practice. If you could use individual external switches for the same purpose, it would be a lot easier to organize the functionality of the 4 switches on the Ampero Control itself.

I use this product for control of Amplitube 5 and various other software in a recording studio. When I received the product it was packaged well and the instructions made it seem easy enough to set up. It turns out that the Hotone Ampero Control app for Android cannot be downloaded from the Google Play Store, and you will need to enable installation of third-party apps on your phone to get this device programmed. It appears this app is available in the iOS store however, so Apple users rejoice. Aside from the obvious security yellow flag of sideloading apps these days, the app works well and after watching a few YouTube videos on setting up various other control schemes, I was able to get it working to bypass pedals and even set up a control bank for the looper functions of Amplitube 5.This was all done on my couch via a USB connection. The next step was to see about connecting via Bluetooth and controlling that way. No go. It seems that the Bluetooth connectivity works great for iOS but is non-functional for Windows users. After scrounging around for a much longer USB A-to-B device cable, I was able to get enough cable length to place the device at my feet for control in my setup.Does it do MIDI control well? Yes.Does it work with Windows? USB/MIDI onlyDoes it work with Android? Sideload an app, accept the security risk, and sure it does!Does it work with iOS? Yes...very yes.Was the programming easy? It took me about 20 minutes to find a good YouTube video, 30 seconds of watching, and another 45 minutes of programming everything I wanted it to do initially. Now that I've been through that, it's super easy.Note that you only need the Ampero Control app (iOS/Android) to program the device. After it is programmed there is no need to use the app again unless you want to make changes to the program.Note also that the expression pedal calibration is not well-described. After connecting an expression pedal, hold switch 4 and apply power to the device. The 'Pdl' characters will display on the screen. Move your expression pedal to the max and min at least 3 times, then press switch 4 again to go back to operation mode. That will calibrate the pedal.

Had huge expectations in this one. I'm currently downsizing full amp/pedals to apps as Tonebridge and Amplitube. My idea was to attach this as a simulated footswitch to change presets in real time... let me down big time. First it will only connect through its app (for some reason device itself will not detect it) because of this the the ampero disconnects quite often to the point is not usable. It looks nice and sturdy, seems to have quite a big chunk of functionalities but in my case it failed big time. If you are connecting using usb or midi give it a try, else stay away from it.I purchased a Boss FS-1-WL simultaneously as that one can do start/stop for song, work as a keyboard etc... sadly the huge Boss price is there for a reason, that device is a tank, connected right away, all configs nice and crisp, been running flawless the last 3 days.BTW I tested this in 5 devices, updated firmware, factory reset, plug and unplug, nothing worked.

Super easy to use, super easy to configure with the phone (takes 10 minutes to understand the app). As long as you can organize all your outputs correctly and remember them, it's a very easy pedal to use. The build quality is great. You don't need to plug it in the socket if using it with the USB cable.
